कोविड19 च्या संकटाने संपूर्ण जगाला घेरलेले अाहे, व जगभरातील देश या संकटातुन बाहेर पडण्याचा प्रयत्न करत आहेत. या संकटातुन बाहेर पडतांना हे देश अनेक संकटाना सामोरे जात आहेत, प्रत्येक देशाची समस्या वेगळी आहे. परंतु या देशांमध्ये मात्र भारतासारखी समस्या अजिबात पाहावयास मिळत नाही. भारतामध्ये कोरोना संकट काळात सर्वाधिक समस्येला सामोरे जावे लागले ते या देशातील कामगारांना. दूरदूरवरुन आलेले बिचारे कामगार अचानक लावलेल्या लॉकडाऊनमध्ये अडकुन बसले. काम नाही, पैसा नाही, घरभाडे वाढत आहे, रेशन नाही व समोर उपासमार दिसत आहे अशा परिस्थितीमध्ये कामगारांना शहरे सोडुन जाण्याशिवाय दुसरा पर्याय राहिला नाही. केंद्र व राज्य शासनांनी मोठमोठ्या घोषणा केल्या परंतु प्रत्यक्षात मात्र काहीही केले नाही. कामगारांची अवस्था ना घर का ना घाट का अशी झाली, याचा परिणाम फाळणीनंतरचे सर्वात मोठे स्थलांतर.

दु:खाने सांगावे लागते की, हे स्थलांतर अजिबात घडलं नसतं परंतु शासनाच्या नाकर्तेपणामुळे व अडमुठ्या धोरणामुळ हेे घडुन आले. गावी परत जाणाऱ्या कामगारांना रेल्वे व बसने घरी पाठवता आले असते परंतु शहरामध्ये आलेल्या कामगारांना परत गावी पाठवु नका असा उद्योगपतींकडुन असलेल्या आदेशामुळे असे करण्याची सरकारची हिम्मत झाली नाही. उद्योगपतींना खुश करण्याच्या नादात सरकारने आपल्या सर्व मर्यादा ओलांडल्या व सरकार स्पष्टपणे उद्योगपतींच्या बाजूने उभे राहिले. कामगारांना रेशन नाही, आपत्कालीन सुविधा नाहीत, रेल्वे नाहीत, बसेस नाहीत अशा विदारक परिस्थितीमध्ये जाणीणपूर्वक सरकारने कामगारांना अडकविले जेणेकरुन कामगार शहरं सोडुन गावी परत जाऊ नये. शेवटी मात्र कामगारांच्या संयमाचा बांध फुटलाच व त्यांनी मिळेल त्या मार्गाने गावी जाण्यास सुरुवात केली.

या काळात एक गोष्ट प्रकर्षाने जाणवते ती म्हणजे कामगारांचे ऐेेैक्य नाही, कामगारांच्या संघटना सक्षम नाहीत, कामगार नेते गोंधळलेले आहेत, काय भूमिका घ्यावी हे त्यांना कळाले नाही. जे बहुसंख्य कामगार दलित, अदिवासी व इतर मागास वर्गातुन येतात व कामगारही त्यांना जातीच्या नावावर मतदान करतात, त्यांनीही कोणतीच ठोस भूमिका या प्रकरणात घेतली नाही. ना सत्ताधारी गोटातील ना विरोधी पक्षातील दलित-अदिवासींचे नेते त्यांच्या मतदारांसाठी पुढे आले. या सर्व प्रकरणात एक सत्य मात्र पुढे आलं की, कामगारांचे (दलित,अदिवासी,व इतर मागासवर्ग) सरकारला काहीएक देणंघेणं नसुन, हे सरकार केवळ उद्योगपतींना खुश करणारे सरकार आहे.

As I live in Pune, one of the metropolitan city of India having more than 50 corina cases in its stomuch, I thaught that I should share with you what is the condition of this city.

Pune is called the Oxford of East and the cultural capital of the province Maharashtra. It has a large population and supposed to be a sophisticated city in India. There are large number of industries such as automobile, IT and so on and in this industries work millions of people. The economy of this city is mainly dependent on these two industries and that support to other businesses. The city produces large employment and many people come from different part of the province and the country.

Now all the industries are shut down, very few are working from home. But the major issue is of the labours who do work on daily wages and cannot afford to stay home for long time. Many of them live on rent, but due to lock down they cannot pay their rent and it will bring trouble for them because the house-owners will not wait for the rent. Another problem is of the food, if they do not work what they will eat. Now the government has announced that it will provide food to poor people but on the ground it is not implemented effectively as the administration lacks planning and there is curruption in the system.

Number of labours are fleeing from the city secretly as they are foreseeing their future. They are confidant over the state government but not over the administration which has the key role to play in this process. The people do not have any good experience of the administration in India, usually the government officers and employees are lazy, careless, and currept here. A few officers are good but they are not sufficiant to manage this system. So in coming days in India, hunger and unemployment will be the big issues. The condition is not good here though there are not many cases found yet, the number may be increased in coming days. The government is trying to do its best but the administration as well as people will not respond it properly.

There is also one big problem in India with that the govenment is fighting that is people in this country have not discipline at all. In this situation they must follow the orders but it seems that they are not doing so. Today we cannot predict what will happen in next few months in this country but we can just pray to God.
